The 8th Bead Soup Blog Party

The 8th BEAD SOUP PARTY  is on now....
I want to thank you Christina Miles for to introduced me to the Bead Soup Cafe ...also a big thanks to Lori Anderson for let me be part of this big group of beaders with a lot of talent!!!
Bead Soup Blog Party = trade your more awesome beads and meet new people around the world...

I am so excited because this is my first party and I was so lucky to have BRIDGET TORRES as a partner...her website is: www.shears58.netif you want to see what she send me and what I send her you can found it below...
When I get my Soup my eyes goes straight to the green beads and the green and blueish focal bead and immediately think in the colors of the peacock.

 Here is my first design,
I work with the green lemon beads making a rope with soutache and the beads on one side and on the other side I made a simple stringing, but because the other side was a little heavy ..I add a spiral bead for balance. On the pendant I work with the focal bead and recreate the feathers of the peacock with the beads surrounded by  soutache and added some swaroski crystals for a blueish touch...

Peacock necklace

The necklace is very beautiful...
I add the spiral bead for a balance.

Black and white necklace

With the black beads and the little bird and silver leaves I design this necklace for me like a gift for a Mothers Day...for a focal bead I made a beaded bead with # 11 seed beads and I put the findings that Bridge send it to me...sooo I will wear my necklace this coming Sunday!!! I love my necklace the touch of the little bird made it be very delicate...

 New Born Mother necklace

You can see...I was very busy with my soup....I design this necklace using the big silver bird that Bridget send me on my Soup and some green lemon beads. I thought that birds needs a nest and some flowers...so I made a bead nest using some blue beads and wire and I recreate the Bird leaving the nest and go to the flowers to get pollen.
This necklace was made for a Mother of a new born and is casual style, using Chinese thread and  knots, also I made macrame cord and for a little touch I add # 11 seed beads. Like you see ...became a beautiful and delicate necklace for a new Mom..

Silver Spring Bracelet

Finally I made a bracelet...my favorite...I love bracelets...
This bracelet was made with peyote  and herringbone stitch, using a cube beads and #11 seed beads. I add the leave clasp and the beautiful silver flowers that Bridget send it to me...ohhh I love my bracelet...

Here is my Bead Soup that I get from my partner Bridget Torres. She makes jewelry and also her own polymer beads....Please visit her website: www.shears58.net and her Etsy store:  https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Bridgetsbeadworks?section_id=11376662Here is the soup that I send to her....I hope she enjoyed playing with her beads, too!Mostrando IMAG3123.jpg

  12. Blanca you made great use of your soup ingredients. The first necklace is a real attention getter. It's beautiful and it does look like a peacock feather. You made unique and creative use of the soutche cord. Your beaded bead in the second necklace is way cool and the perfect touch to that beautiful necklace.

  18. Your peacock necklace is very chic and the spiral bead is such an eye-catching detail! Soutache looks very versatile. The second is my favorite mostly because of the different sections, holding the focal arrangement - they are very well color and shape coordinated and subtle. The bracelet beautifully continues the peacock theme, I like how wavy it looks and I can only imagine how softly it embraces your hand with every movement :)

  41. What an original use of soustache ! Soustache is something im pretty curious about, but im not quite sure where to start or begin with learning it. I also love how birds are such a reoccuring theme this year ! It's so fun to see how differently we all work with similar themes. I love how many of us made little nests, and yet they are all so different from one another !
